Wordplay is the #1 tool to create long form content quickly.
Wordplay was created to make your life as a content publisher much easier. Whether you own a business, you run a portfolio of SEO websites, or you are publishing content for clients, Wordplay is here to help!
First we will go over each of the Wordplay modes, and then give you best practices for getting a high-quality output from Wordplay.
Our flagship product is our guided mode option. With Guided Mode, you start by typing in the target keyword or phrase you want to write content about.
Based on your target keyword, Wordplay will then give back clever title ideas generated by AI that are optimized for SEO, and optimized to get a good output from the AI.
Next, Wordplay will generate 5 different introductory paragraphs for you to choose from. Choose your favorite and customize it to your liking!
This will set the tone of the article and guide the AI on what the article will generally be about so make sure the introduction matches your intent for the article.
Lastly, Wordplay will suggest 5 different article outlines that are aligned with your given title and blog introduction.
These are subsection headings that you can mix, match, & customize to create the perfect piece of long-form content.
Once you build your full outline, Wordplay will complete the article using AI and give you a stellar result!
The entire process takes under 2 minutes if you’re quick 😉
In Outline Mode, you can create content from a title and 3-12 subheadings. This mode is best for controlling exactly which topics are covered in your content.
The more subheadings you put, the longer the content will be. If you fill out all 12 subheadings, you’ll typically get an article that is 1,500 – 2,000 words.
In Title Mode, you can create content in bulk from exact article titles. This is best for situations where you have already prepared descriptive article titles based on your research.
The articles in this mode typically turn out to be anywhere from 800 – 1500 words.
In Bulk CSV Mode, you can create bulk content from multiple titles & subheadings. It’s essentially outline mode, but for bulk usage.
Best for Wordplay experts who have a list of exact titles & subheadings in a CSV file.
Have a list of questions you want answered with AI? The bulk FAQ tool is a simple way to quickly generate answers with AI.
In Topic Mode, all you need to do is give Wordplay a topic and Wordplay will write an entire article based on that topic.
This is for much more broad articles. Wordplay will do the heavy lifting in terms of writing the article title and the entire piece.
You can use this in bulk too, so if you have a list of 10 topics, you can throw them all into keyword mode (line by line) and Wordplay will create articles for all of the topics you put in.
The most important thing to understand in Wordplay is how to write a great article title for the AI to work from. This means you have to be specific with your words. The quality you get out from Wordplay is 100% based on the quality you put in.
High-quality article titles in = high-quality articles out.
So with that said, let’s discuss a few tips on how to word your articles and subsections when creating content with Wordplay…
The AI creates higher quality content and will understand your intent for the article if you give specific direction to the AI in your article titles.
Example
Instead of an article title “What is social media scheduling software?” you may want to write it as “What is social media scheduling software and what are the benefits of using it?” to give your article a positive spin and give it a direction.
This will still hit the long-tail keyword “What is social media scheduling software”, but will also give the AI more direction of what to write about.
A good rule of thumb for writing article titles is to use this formula as the article title: long-tail keyword + intent for article.
So in the social media scheduling software example, we are telling the AI to list out benefits of that software, which will in turn give the article a positive tone rather than a neutral or negative tone.
The AI needs context to understand what you are writing about. Context helps Wordplay stay on track and reduces the risk of the AI writing to get off subject.
Example
If you are writing an article about electricians, a subsection of "How do you become an electrician?" is better than "How do you become one?" in terms of context and quality.
Wordplay works best when you are talking broader about topics rather than digging into super-specific things.
It also has a higher tendency to get off topic when writing about new or recent information in the world that hasn’t been around for a while. We are trying to improve this over time, but when Wordplay tries to write about brand new topics, it can go a bit off the rails.
We’d love for you to hop into the tool and test it out for yourself.
